A Comprehensive Analysis of Selected Anionic Surfactants Behaviour in Aqueous Systems Containing Metal Ions and Inorganic Acid

The influence of co-ions on the adsorption properties two surfactants: ABS (dodecylbenzene sulfonic acid) and its sodium salt ABSNa50 in aqueous systems, has been studied discussed. On basis experimental measurements equilibrium dynamic surface tension, a series parameters were determined, such as critical micelle concentration (CMC), parameters, diffusion coefficients, micellar dissociation constant. It was proved that values CMC vary according contents accompanying metal ions (zinc(II), copper(II), cobalt(II), nickel(II)) hydrochloric acid system under discussion. Moreover, it found surfactant increases, estimated coefficients decrease. obtained results indicate need to analyse basic surfactants case their application systems containing additional substances.
